SAFARILAND® 578 - GLS™ PRO-FIT™ HOLSTER, PADDLE & BELT LOOP COMBO The Model 578 GLS™ Pro-Fit brings the unique GLS™ (Grip Lock System) and SafariSeven™ together in a holster designed to fit a wide variety of guns. The Pro-Fit™ is customizable and adjusts to securely fit over 225 firearms. The 578 also features the GLS™, an innovative technology that automatically secures the weapon when holstered and releases it upon application of the middle finger with a standard shooting grip for a more intuitive and safer release. The holster body is constructed with SafariSeven™, a lightweight, state-of-the-art nylon blend is completely non-abrasive to a gun’s finish, tolerant of extreme high and low temperatures, and easy to maintain. This holster includes an injection-molded paddle and an injection-molded belt loop that is adjustable for maximum comfort. NOTE: This is a multi-fit holster, not all gun/optic variations will work in the holster. If the optic is mounted too far forward it will prevent the firearm from seating into the GLS mechanism. Common firearms that will not seat properly are the Staccato P/C2 and the Springfield Prodigy. With no snap, the SLS allows for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. The hood can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. It is also far less likely to release accidentally than conventional thumb break snaps. Molded sight track and soft SafariSuede™ protect the gun's sights and finish. The Model 6004 features a single leg strap and leg shroud with mounting holes for optional accessories. The rugged STX finish protects the gun against scrapes, scratches and dents. 6280 SLS MID-RIDE, DUTY RATED LEVEL II RETENTION™ HOLSTER 6280 SLS Mid-ride model is a top draw, straight cant duty holster with the SLS (Self Locking System) rotating hood, which allows for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted takeaways. The hood can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward. With Level II Retention™ capabilities, the 6280 can be adjusted to a Level III Retention™ with the addition of an optional Sentry device.
